YXE Airport Pollination Garden

Design
We start the project by accessing your site, budget and goal to see what we can put together for you.
We will designs a rough site plan and plant layout and provide a quote for the project.
Once approved and the deposit is paid, we will proceed to scheduling and securing the native plant stock for the project from our nursery.
Site Prep
Cutting out sod and grass, leveling and hauling in manure, soil, compost and organic matter is important in building a good soil base to start with provide the plants nutrients to start growing the first season.
Flower Acclimation
Many of the Saskatchewan Native Flowers require complicated double stratification to germinate and start.
It's far from as simple as sprinkling seeds on the ground.
All our plants are germinated, propagated and grown out in our indoor nursery, then moved outside to acclimate. They are then hauled out for planting.

We have our own high quality compost and soil for creating an organic and highly nutrient dense soil so your flowers thrive for years to come.

First Year Flowers
Most installer will plant seeds requiring a year or 2 before you see any flowers, if they even survive. Most varieties require careful germination and growout before being acclimated outside.
With Newroots having all the ready to plant varieties you could want, your first year will be loaded with flowers and pollinators.
Maintenance
The expert advice doesn't end at the installation. Newroots Construction has ongoing spring and fall maintenance available for your pollination garden including thinning, spreading, seeding and harvesting.
